For my Masters dissertation titled 'Between Disruption, Witnessing, and Recording: Three case studies examining the use of the Archive in Contemporary Art from the Malay Archipelago,' I examined how three contemporary artists, Yee I-Lann (Malaysia), FX Harsono (Indonesia), and Ho Tzu Nyen (Singapore) utilised archival materials in their artistic practices to interrogate the construction of national and regional histories.
